My name is Michaelle Bosse and I come from Brazil. I’m product designer. I studied design, first because I couldn’t understand why the products could be so ‘boring conventional’, if I almost always saw things from a different point of view to others. And the second reason was because I liked to draw on my free time.

But I realized that more important that good drawing, was make the right decision about designing of products. The most important thing that I realize was, how I can make a useful / functional / beautiful artefact to turn a lovely object, that it make part of your life.

And as opposed to designing unconventional things like I would have done from the beginning of my graduation, I thought it best ask first to the User: How do you feel using this product?

Therefore my professional formation ensued as follows:

I graduated in 2007 at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), in Product Design. While in the University, my experience in design began with the research of Product Service System, including tasks concerning sustainability, design and lifecycle analysis (LCA).

Thereafter, from 2007 to 2011 I worked as Graphic Designer, Office Stylist for corporate environment, finally as product designer, in a furniture industry for the food business sector, where I was responsible for development of products and layouts for malls, restaurants, cafeterias, bars and patisseries.

At the year of 2011, I graduated in production engineering. In the same year, I lectured the discipline of Technical Drawing at the University for the Development of the Alto Vale do Itajaí, UNIDAVI.

From 2011 to 2013, I coursed and completed my Master degree in Design for Human Factors at Santa Catarina State University, UDESC. In that period, I also worked as a researcher in the project “Usability reviews for digital human virtual modellings”, supervised by Prof. Dr. Alexandre Amorim dos Reis.

In 2012 and 2013, I lectured the disciplines of Ergonomics, Design Methodology, Marketing, Logistics and Packaging Design at IFSC (Federal Institut of Santa Catarina).

Currently I develop my doctoral research in industrial design engineering at Technical University Dresden, TU Dresden, where I will have the opportunity to work in the industrial design engineering research center, Juniorprofessur Technisches Design. Here I intend to conduct my doctoral research on usability and user experience in the use of industrial machines, subjects where cover my research subject.
