(imagination.lancaster.ac.uk\/conference2009\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n DESIGN PHD CONFERENCE 2009 _ Lancaster University & Northumbria University<\/p>\n Conference theme: Sustainability, Innovation and Design<\/p>\n Invited keynote speaker: Alistair Fuad-Luke, author of The Eco-design Handbook.<\/p>\n The Design PhD Conference is a collaborative event between ImaginationLancaster at Lancaster University and the School of Design\u2019s Centre for Design Research at Northumbria University. The conference offers an opportunity for PhD students, Masters students, recent graduates and businesses to meet, exchange knowledge and ideas, and learn about the latest developments in design thinking, methods and research projects.<\/p>\n This year the PhD conference theme will be related to the complex interrelationships between innovation, sustainablility and design.<\/p>\n The conference will invite 7 PhD students to present their work and host a Poster Session with contributions from the international PhD design research community.<\/p>\n Please find more information at the following link: imagination.lancaster.ac.uk\/conference2009\/<\/a><\/p>\n CALL FOR POSTERS<\/p>\n PhD students are invited to submit an A2 poster representing the key elements of their doctoral research in relation to the conference theme: \u201cSustainability, Innovation and Design\u201d.
